CHAPTER ONE -- A Successful Woman -

Part II

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Phil. 4:13).

"Thou shalt have good success....Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest" (Joshua 1:8, 9).

Success is one of the 3,573 promises of God's Word that I can claim. I can ask for success, knowing that God will keep His word and give me what He has promised. If I ask Him, He will make me a successful woman!

"Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising" (Isa. 60:1-3).

Wow! What a picture of success! The stage of life is set. The audicience has gathered. The lights dim. The curtain history rolls back, and there I am in center stage with the spotlight of destiny focused on me!

Now, I understand that this is a prophecy referring to the work of Christ, the Light of the world. But I believe that it has a secondary application to His followers, including women, who are also to be "the light of the world." (See Matt. 5:14.)

"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.... For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands" (Isa. 55:9-12).

What a picture of success! All nature joins in applauding what God is able to do through His people. If I am God's woman, that is a picture of my success! I believe that God has a very special part for me to play, a part of the script that He has planned for me from the time I was nestled in the warmth of my mother's womb. Am I ready?

Am I ready to step out into the spotlight of destiny? Do I know my lines? What part is God expecting me to play in the drama that is about to unfold?
