Youth Fiesta

By Joseph Beard

Sunday, February 26, 2006 was a very splendid evening. It was the Youth Explosions first Youth Fiesta. The opening prayer was done by Allister Walker. The talented vocalists Shana Orr, Chinell Folks and Diedre Willer conducted song service.

During the remainder of the program, different special presentations were presented. Chinell Folks and Kathi blessed our hearts with sweet music. “Echoes of Praise”, a female signing group, blessed us as they interpreted a selection from Kirk Franklin.

We were also blessed and surprised to see a new face in the church—Monique.  She blessed us with the poem “Direction back Home.” Our speaker was none other than Michael Innocent. His message, was short but powerful.

At the end of the meeting we had a repast prepared by Ebenezer’s famous cooks. It was the best “veggie” food you will ever find. During the feast selected tables were asked to do a skit with the audience trying to figure out who the skit was about. This was very entertaining.

I’m looking forward to the next Youth Fiesta but until then I certainly wouldn’t miss any Youth Explosions meeting.
